Letter to Stephen Van Rensselaer regarding a petition Van Rensselaer would like to put before the State Assembly. The petition regards Van Rensselaer's estate. Schuyler advises him to wait until the legislature meets in Albany in May before he makes his proposal, and warns that the petition be very carefully drawn . Written at New York, N.Y.
